I finally broke down and bought a new Wacom tablet. I got the Intuos3 6×11, which will hopefully be just the right size. I’m just glad I won’t have to sit in front of the television anymore, squinting at the Photoshop menu items. Not to mention that it got even tougher since I changed out the keyboard on my HTPC for a Logitech diNovo Mini. Cool little device, but it has no arrow keys. Turns out I use arrow keys a lot.

Anyway, hopefully the site improves with the new tablet. At least I’ll have one less excuse for sucking. Actually I think the art has been decent on the last couple of comics. The humor is another story.

As for the subject of this post… these tablets are obscene. What’s the profit margin on these, Wacom? 1000%?

Yesterday I got into the Quake Live beta. It goes open beta in a couple of days. It plays great, and I am really past my prime.

I also just completed beta testing on the recently released Geneforge 5: Overthrow. It’s a cool little RPG from indy developer Spiderweb Software. Try the demo… I’m in the credits.

The new Wacom tablet is in-house, and the first comic created with it should be done either tonight or tomorrow. I’m still working out the kinks, but I can’t believe how much better it is than my old tablet. It was well worth it.
