Mirror’s Edge demo

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I had a chance to play the Mirror’s Edge demo the other day. Twice, actually, because it was so damn fun. I am looking forward to checking out the full version, as I’m sure there will be all sorts of devious level designs. There is a teaser video at the end of the demo that hints at some pretty cool locales; it’s not all rooftops.

I didn’t have the problems that other people have apparently had. Funnily enough, I had just conceived a strip about the same issue, but for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Then I saw their strip…. oh well. Anyway, for my money, Spider-Man’s Puke Factorâ„¢ is virtually un-rivaled. And don’t even think of watching someone else play.

As for Spidey’s game itself…. if the entire game was just him swinging around town, it would be 5 stars. As is…. 2 1/2? I’m not overly far, but something about common street thugs beating up Spider-Man just doesn’t feel right.
